Hannibal vs Dexter : Interpretation actor

Hannibal and Dexter are two characters who base their existence on camouflage and concealment of instincts which are their primary impulse.
Mikkelsen, compared to disruptive Hopkins, Dr. Lecter gives a calmness almost mystical; its elegant movements and changes of expression can create a real subtext in which a simple smile can change the perspective of the sense of every speech just given, opening up new metaphorical greatly enrich the narrative. Hannibal, despite the title of the series pass as protagonist, draws its strength from the presence of a double dramatic relief as the character of Will Graham; this leads Mikkelsen to give his interpretation of an imprint Lecter actor.

Dexter instead stands alone in the undisputed protagonist: even the strength of the likes of Trinity or Brian Moser managed to steal the scene entirely. The strength of the interpretation of Michael C. Hall is in alternating expertly two registers interpretation in opposition to each other. As C. Hall has created a portfolio of expression in which the gap between good and evil is creating net, reaching both in front of the property and in the identification of the ultimate evil.

Both types of interpretation tend to amplify the characteristics of the series which includes becoming essential elements; therefore, even in the face of the skill of the individual actors, we can not conclude that this comparison with a draw.

The following 1x02 - Trivial and obvious

The FBI is engaged on two fronts: on the one hand, the search for Joey, son of Joe Carroll and Claire Matthews, who was kidnapped by three of the followers of the former literature professor. On the other, catching Jordy, the prison guard who converted to the sect, fresh baptism of blood. Three students are added to the mass grave that Carroll has dug, and that his disciples has delegated the task of filling. Jordy
For me in this episode did not work at all.

The murderess / disciple of the week I was bored to death to be good, to be honest unwell. Moving beyond the stereotype idiot fat, ugly, sweaty and influenced who is swept beyond their capacity, ability and awareness, the part of this episode focused oozes mediocrity: we seriously believe that a man, who is wanted by ' FBI as a murderess and a follower of the serial-killer most talked of the moment, it can slip into the house of the ex-wife of that serial killer, ex-wife, whose son has just been kidnapped by the Faithful of that serial-killer, no one noticing? Here, there are two possible answers:

The FBI had not left anyone to guard the house of Claire. And then they are morons.
The FBI had left someone to guard the house of Claire, and that someone has run Jordy let pass under the nose. And then they are morons.
The let out from the mouth of a

character of the same criticisms that come from our own, of mouths (Weston harshly scolding the local police for the mistake), does not remedy the error.

It seems a gimmick, clever or dishonest according to the opinion, to suggest a realism and self-awareness that the series can not boast of possessing.

The fact that the flaws of the show are indicated by the characters of the show within the show does not delete them mica, defects. As well as the monologue of Carroll in the final of the pilot did not erase the clichés generously bestowed by the same.
Some people consider it a tribute to the classic genre, who considers him metatext (Carroll is making happen in reality what happens in the books!); for me, a stuff over and over again is a stuff over and over again. That Williamson is aware of what he writes, and write it well, does not eliminate the what.
The comparison between Hardy and Carroll, at the close of episode, has not only worsened my already bad impression: why Carroll, this man who is anxious to paint as educated, brilliant, charismatic and intelligent, to assume that Hardy killed her man? Why Carroll is so surprised, so upset?

 Jacob, Emma and Paul

There is also the fact that the villain do not work. And 'appreciable want to build and deepen the personal background of these characters, but the point is that Emma, Jacob and Paul, in this episode spread boredom with both hands.
Any segment dedicated to them was flat and predictable, replete with bickering between her and him that contend the other of which he could not care less.
Emma, in particular, adds another notch on the stick of clichés: the girl shy and tender, crushed by the mother-eating men, fans of the writer Carroll, Carroll fans murderess, steps and turns into matricide, another step and becomes the leader of this cell of fanatics and murder, complete with a cold eye, a steady hand and expressions from hard .I find it hard to consider credible antagonist behind a character with a story like that, so splashed and hasty.

Relive The mentalist : First Season

  1. Simply put: it was the television event of the year, the series that has practically devoured the competition, the only - or at least one of the few - to achieve and overcome the obstacle of the 20 million viewers.

The Mentalist, CBS flagship along with - just think '- NCIS and winner of People's Choice Award for best drama series, created by that Bruno Heller, who wrote and produced a gem raw and foul-mouthed like Rome, is not only the surprise of the year promptly confirmed for a second season, but has re-launched explosively the figure of the detective and investigation pure. Why? How Is It? He deserves it? After the cut we'll find out.

It 's true, in terms of plot and premise similarities there, especially Psych, but is the show of USA Network's Monk as Maigret: here, no frills dramatic or pathetic, the tone is ironic, witty, light, but never grotesque, farcical or merely ridanciano and often the thickness of the story is more interesting than the show itself would imply.

The scripts are written with care, especially in the game with the cliché of the classic yellow (significant episode 1 × 16, Bloodshot, where Jane is temporarily without a view) and the royal exaggerate not ever limiting - clear - to follow the star.

Hannibal vs Dexter (part 2): History of the characters outside of the show

Hannibal Lecter, than Dexter, draws its strength from a decade past of memorable films and books, as well as the masterful performance by Hopkins in a state of grace.
The series starring Mads Mikkelsen, moving the action prior to the capture of the famous cannibal (before and after Red Dragon The origins of evil), we showed a novel Hannibal: a respected psychiatrist, the protagonist of a seemingly normal life which, among the meanderings of a fully equipped kitchen, hiding a horrible secret.
However, as would Dexter, "there are no secrets, only hidden truths," and it is at this level, where the reality of things is completely camouflaged in an appearance not only ordinary but exemplary, which lights up the red thread unites the two serial killers.

Relive The Mentalist - "Red Hair and Silver Tape"

In the beginning was Remington Steele, at least in memory of the writer, that marked the title of each of its 96 episodes with puns on Steel (steel) and the like; then came The L-Word, where all the titles begin, of course, with the letter L.
Surely then they will not be playing a few series by titrating the individual episodes with themes and words occurring.
The mentalist chose red as the thread of his narrative (it is the key color of the assassin who killed the family of the protagonist) and its securities.

For this second episode, the keys are the enigma red hair and duct tape and, with this second episode, the series of Bruno Heller confirms the good quality of his scripts and its characters, not adding anything special, but smoothing some of the defects of the pilot.

The prologue, in addition to launching the narrative, of course, serves to define the capacity of the protagonist.
The episode is centered on one of the cornerstones of the new youth culture neocons, chastity ring, must find a concrete direction from having to follow for the rest the season - if not the series - and does it in a more than decent, improving the relationship between Patrick and his colleagues, especially the beautiful Teresa.

And the thread that binds the incidents and investigations, we must admit, seems to have already tied too.

Hannibal vs Dexter

Dexter: "The Bay Harbor Butcher"

Dexter - the best season?

It is difficult to judge a series that has been with us for years, sharing many experiences, very moving us deeply.

And Dexter is part of this group of series that deserves a special bracket, making sure to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of this show that has revolutionized the idea and the concept of the TV series. What differentiates Dexter Morgan from a Patrick Bateman (American Psycho) is in a code of ethics, he learned from his father Harry, when he realized the homicidal tendencies of his son. The intelligent use of voice-over to explain the thoughts of the character is a great way to delineate the border that separates the viewer from the character, a line to which we often approach but do not pass it.

But first of all, of the eight seasons; what season you have more passionate?

Review them with two words..

Season 1: You start to know Dexter, the serial killer, Dexter's father, his past and his brother Brian.
So begins one of the most intriguing series of all time, and the first season is the perfect synthesis of what should be expected.

Season 2: The second season as the protagonists' investigation of the Bay Harbor Butcher and Doakes who suspects Dexter.
Doakes is discovered in all his skills as a detective. Exciting until the last moment, perhaps a little bit contrived the way the director decides to get rid of the "problem Doakes."

Season 3: For the first time in his life Dexter shares his thoughts and his actions murderer with someone: Miguel Prado.
Going from friend to foe in less than a season and marrying Rita.

Season 4: We know the Dexter family guy and especially Trinity.
Rita's death profoundly affects the viewer. Maybe the season with the most dramatic of the entire series.

Season 5: The guilt of Dexter for the death of Rita, Dexter's baby, the relationship with Lumen, the research group of serial rapists and their leader Jordan Chase.

Season 6: The serial killer Doomsday and brother Sam, perhaps the only positive this season quite anonymous.

Season 7: Debra knows the "Dark Passenger" Dexter, Hannah ("True Love" Dexter), Isaak and death of LaGuerta.
The pathos of this season reach high levels, achieved only with the death of Rita.

Season 8: For better or for worse, all the recall.

Which one do you choose?

1-  Dexter

How To Get Away With Murder - a legal-drama that is lost in the excess or an original product?

I don't know which of you saw this series on ABC, which began in America in September.

Keywords are mysteries, intrigue, passion and competition.
There are perfect elements to make the series one of the best in recent years in the crime. Despite the title of the show is longer than the cast of the series, has achieved incredible results with its first season and soon we start with the second one (the second season was announced a few days ago).
The show embodies substantial the Machiavellian principle of "the end justifies the means."

Introduces the main characters, all young boys and each represented an "American type": the upstart, the homosexual, the moralist who betray every principle and the black boy outcast.

After this parade of characters, it is unthinkable not to have seen a bit in the Bailey Professor Keating, the real star of the show.
The course that students must follow to first is "How to get away with Murder." But, to distinguish from simple legal-procedural this show, is the side "mystery".

But what remains of this pilot? Shortly. A beautiful setting, a story that could be more exciting, but exceeding, if they had taken the flashbacks, we could have a legal-drama university interesting, instead of a product that flaunts situations and legal standards exist, also for the American justice system, while to hit the viewer, then you Shonda, complicated life.

The realism in these films is essential and the border with the trash is very thin.
However the product is innovative, the dialogues are great, the setting and the scenes are "mystery" as promised, the interpretation of the characters is good and the acting of Kingley between his aggressiveness and his weaknesses appeared well already clear from the start, are the setting for a show with many advantages but also many flaws!

And what do you think of this new product ShondaLand?
In the second season exceed as in the first?? Probably, although I hope that some defect is filed.

But only to me, every time I read the title, I begin to think of Hitchcock?

"I don't know what terrible things you've done in your life so far, but certainly karma is not on your side if you have assigned to my class." - Keating

True Detective, the anthology series!

True detective - Pilot

The first thing I usually do when I start to look a Pilot is to see by it was written. And I find the name of Nic Pizzolato, author of eight episodes of the first season, executive producer and showrunner.

"People out here, it's like they do not even know the outside world exists. Might as well be living on the fucking moon "the words spoken by our protagonist, Rust Cohle help the viewer understand what environment will host the series.

We are in Louisiana, it is the first thing that I was not convinced here, and that is Mr. Fukunaga shows us desolately ample outdoor spaces and voids, as opposed to enclosed spaces. Typical setting of Louisiana ok, but compulsively proposal.

Another key figure in the series is the character of Martin that at some moment of the first episode gives nicknames different types of cop that exist: "the bully, the charmer, the surrogate dad, the man possessed by an ungovernable rage, the brain".

I find who is a little bit the climax of the episode (if not the entire season) the director plays with the images that we use to describe the figure of the policeman in noir, and being an anthology series, that is, with cast and different stories in each season, one day we will find as the protagonist's character as a "bully" or as a "charmer", perhaps even in the second season.

The "human factor" is important, as a noir of respect: the flashback structure gives us a portrait of two men who met 17 years earlier to investigate a murder of a serial killer. New techniques and used with intelligence, excellent casting, photographs refined and careful and a story that appears to be deep and realistic.
How to pilot the pace is measured to perfection. The dramatic and raw make a series to be savored, and that it is the right balance between "noir" and crime.
